Houston native and multi-talented artist JoVaughn has impressed the music industry with his abilities as a singer and songwriter. He has updated the romantic sounds of R&B with his smooth vocals and a unique pop feel. Singing at the age of seven, he gets his inspiration from his mother who is also a singer. Artists who JoVaughn considers his inspiration are Chris Brown, Usher and Mya.

He is quoted “When singing I’m in my zone and I sing because it’s what I do best”. He considers himself to be a southern gentleman but with an imperial twist that sets him apart from other Pop/R&B artist. "I have a serious side, but I still like to be funny and crazy at times while always keeping my wit about me. I am an ice breaker whenever there is awkward silence among my peeps. I believe myself to be a great dancer and a down to earth person in general". When not working in the studio, he enjoys the company of close friends or participating in his favorite hobbies which are basketball and football. He is an avid sport fan, and watches his favorite NFL team Philadelphia Eagles and NBA team the Orlando Magic. His spare time is also spent with working with children and with his siblings.
